Automotive Technician – A/B Level

EGM Automotive is an established, high-performing independent repair shop serving the greater Chicago metro area.

We operate a high-volume service environment with consistent workflow, structured processes, and a strong focus on quality repairs. This is an opportunity for an experienced Automotive Technician (A or B level) to step into a steady production shop with reliable hours and strong earning potential.

We service a high number of vehicles monthly and continue to grow, creating consistent flat-rate opportunity for skilled technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems
  • Perform accurate, high-quality mechanical repairs
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume production environment
  • Collaborate with service advisors and technicians
  • Follow structured shop processes and workflow systems
  • Ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time

Requirements

  • 7+ years of automotive repair experience preferred
  • A or B level technician experience
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical ability
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume shop environment
  • Team-oriented and reliable work style
  • Commitment to quality and efficiency

Entry-level applicants are not a fit for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $100K–$120K+ earning potential for top technicians
  • Flat rate pay structure
  • Monday through Friday schedule (no weekends)
  • 8 paid holidays
  • PTO after 90 days (5 days first year)
