Automotive Technician – A/B Level

Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $52,000 – $120,000+ per year (Flat Rate Pay)

Position Overview

EGM Automotive is a family-owned, high-performing repair shop in Elk Grove Village, IL. We are a growing shop with a strong reputation for quality work, structured processes, and a team environment that supports experienced technicians.

We service approximately 400 vehicles per month and continue to grow, providing steady workflow for skilled technicians.

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician (A or B level) who is confident in diagnostics, repair quality, and working in a structured shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems
  • Perform accurate, high-quality mechanical repairs
  • Work collaboratively with service advisors and technicians
  • Follow established shop processes and workflow systems
  • Ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time

Requirements

  • 7+ years of automotive repair experience preferred
  • A or B level technician experience
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
  • Team-oriented and dependable work style
  • Ability to work within structured processes
  • Focus on quality and efficiency

Entry-level applicants are not a fit for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $100K–$120K+ annual earning potential for top technicians
  • Flat rate pay structure
  • Monday through Friday schedule (no weekends)
  • 8 paid holidays
  • PTO: 5 days after 90 days (first year)
